How to View Your Payment History

The Metropolitan Building Managers of New York (Metro BMNY) member website keeps a permanent record of every payment you have made through the site — annual dues, event tickets, monthly meeting fees, and guest charges. Vendors especially: this is where you go at tax time to pull receipts.

What you need

Where to find it

  1. Log in to portal.metropolitanbmny.com.
  2. In the sidebar, click My Profile.
  3. Scroll down to the Payment History section.

Metro BMNY payment history table showing date, type, amount, method, status, and receipt link

Reading the table

Each row is one payment. The columns are:

  • Date — when the payment was recorded (Eastern Time)
  • Type — what the payment was for (annual dues, event ticket, guest fee, monthly meeting, etc.)
  • Amount — the dollar figure, including cents
  • Method — how you paid (Square, Square Terminal, cash, check, or waived)
  • Status — green Completed, yellow Pending, red Failed, or gray Refunded
  • Receipt — a View Receipt link for online payments. Cash and check payments do not have an online receipt link — the financial secretary records those manually.

Downloading a receipt

Click View Receipt on the row you want. Square opens its hosted receipt page in a new tab. From there you can:

  • Print the receipt
  • Save it as a PDF
  • Email it to yourself or your accountant

Square's receipt is the canonical record — it carries the merchant info, the card last-four, and the transaction ID. Vendors filing taxes should save these year by year.

What if a payment is missing?

The table only shows payments that are tied to your member record. If you paid in cash or by check at a meeting and you do not see it here, the financial secretary may not have logged it yet — give it a few days, then check again.

If you paid online and still do not see the row, email admin@metropolitanbmny.com with the date and approximate amount. We will trace it through Square and reconcile.

What if a payment shows the wrong status?

A Pending status means Square has accepted the payment but the confirmation has not yet posted to our records. Most pendings clear within a few minutes. If a payment has been pending for more than an hour, contact the office.

A Failed status means the payment did not go through — usually a card decline. You can retry the payment from the same page that started the original transaction.

A note on guest fees

If you bring a guest to a paid event, the guest fee shows up as its own row in your payment history. The guest is not added to your profile — the running guest list lives with the event itself.

Metro BMNY has been serving NYC building managers since 1944. Keeping your payment history transparent is part of how we honor that.
